The villa is divided into two units: the ground floor, available for vacation rental and listed here as Appartamento Botrici, and the two upper floors, occasionally occupied by the owners, who are available to provide any information or assistance.
This holiday apartment in Tuscany is just 11 km from the sea in Viareggio, where you can enjoy sandy beaches. The most important Tuscan cities, such as Lucca, Pisa, Florence, and the fantastic Cinque Terre, are less than an hour away. This makes the holiday apartment in Villa Botrici a perfect place for a holiday in Italy.

Hospitality, Osteria "Gentile" with veg garden, Cooking School and a stunning infinity pool overlooking the valley: il Canto del Maggio, owned by Simona and her family, isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a place where you meet a family deeply rooted in this land and in its rhythms.
Here guests are welcomed into six charming units that reflect a rare and authentic form of hospitality: the Albergo diffuso—literally, a ‘scattered hotel’. Developed in Italy, this model revitalizes once-abandoned villages by blending comfort with local tradition in a truly immersive experience- in fact the "borgo" is a shared community between locals that live here permanently, and travelers that was born in the late 1980's.
Our collaboration with this placa was born to promote a network of local chefs, farmers, winemakers, guides, and hospitality professionals — all working together to create meaningful moments that we hope will make your stay one to remember.
My team (I am Tuscany) and I will take care of the accommodation side of your experience — from the moment you book to the day you arrive. Before your stay, we’ll coordinate with you to plan any extra services or personalized experiences, so everything is ready and tailored to your needs before you arrive.
Simona, the soul of this place, will welcome you into her world: her home, her kitchen, around her table, or walking through the vegetable garden — the orto. On the plate, a cuisine that arises spontaneously: the garden decides the menu, and we simply follow its lead.

The agriturismo (farmhouse) La Casetta nel Bosco, divided into two independent units, is part of a farm including olive groves, woods, crops, a splendid horse riding school and a small horse and pony farm. It is situated just a few kilometers from the towns of Sinalunga and Trequanda, set in a hilly area of unspoiled woodland, rows of vines and olive trees sloping down to the Valdichiana, an area renowned for its wine, olive oil and Chianina beef, making it an ideal destination for lovers of Tuscan’s good food and good wine.
In the large, completely fenced garden there are various corners for relaxing, reading or entertaining yourself. Small but precious spaces in the olive grove or in the little wood, where you can comfortably enjoy a bottle of wine, or eat outside on summer evenings. The private swimming pool (size mt. 14x6, depth mt. 1,00-2,40) is finished off with a refreshing waterfall that will be fun for your children, and also has bathrooms and changing rooms available. A small vegetable garden where you can pick your own fresh seasonal vegetables will give you the opportunity to put red tomatoes and green salad on the table every day.
The Agriturismo for its division into 2 independent units is ideal for families with children, as well as also for couples of friends. The villa seems to be enclosed within a fairy tale, also equipped with air conditioning, it will be the perfect place to take a break from everyday life. If you need to rest, to get away from the daily hustle and bustle, this corner of paradise in the Tuscan hills is for you. San Eusebio is an independent portion of a beautiful stone farmhouse with ancient peasant origins. You will find it nestled in an extremely panoramic position on the silver olive-covered hill of S. Pietro a Cegliolo, not far from the beautiful town of Cortona.
You will instantly fall in love with Cortona. Its cobbled lanes, noble palaces, panoramic viewpoints across the Valdichiana to Lake Trasimeno, its churches and numerous monuments are all not to be missed. You will spend lazy days, strolling around while eating an ice cream, immersed in an atmosphere of ancient times. We advise you not to miss out on a few evenings in the numerous typical restaurants in the historic centre, you absolutely must try the Tuscan cuisine and the many delicacies it offers!
The owners of the house have carefully restored it with absolute respect for the old architectural features: the wooden beams, ceilings, fixtures and terracotta floors are those of yesteryear. Colours, decorations, finishing works and furnishings are perfectly in tune with the characteristics of the house, a perfect rustic style to take you back in time.
In front of the house, there is a large green area at your disposal, a gazebo with garden furniture ideal for enjoying outdoor dining in harmony with the landscape below and the lights in the distance. Immersed among the olive trees is a lovely swimming pool (size 3.5x6 m, depth 0.60-1.50 m - open from 01st May to 30th September), panoramic and cool, which will be perfect for your days of relaxation on the sun-kissed sun loungers of the solarium. Casa La Primula is a farmhouse situated on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, in an extremely panoramic position with an evocative view of Pierle Castle, an ancient fortress of feudal origin, which makes it as if suspended in time. It takes a little effort to get up here, the 2.5 km road is almost all unpaved and very steep (not recommended for sports cars), but once on spot you will be rewarded with true peace in the middle of nature and above all with an exceptional view. When you want to emerge from your refuge, about 5 km away you will find the villages of Mercatale, in Tuscany, and Lisciano Niccone, in Umbria. We recommend a day trip to the characteristic Cortona, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
In the gazebo in the garden you can dine in front of the sunset; for your barbecues or pizzas in company there are also a barbecue and a wood-burning oven. The fence makes the house ideal for a holiday with your four-legged friends (extra charge could be required). For both of you there is plenty of space in the green and the possibility, for those who love trekking, of long walks along the numerous paths in the woods. The swimming pool is private and reserved for your exclusive use (size 5x10 m. - depth 1,20 - 2,30 m., completely fenced - open from 10th May to 30th October).
Besides the view, you'll love the simplicity of Casa La Primula, the rustic Tuscan style furniture and the facilities guarantee all the comforts and at the same time take you back to the rural traditions of times gone by.
You can also ask Mirko, the owner, for a little shopping, and he will make sure you get your favourite food the evening of your arrival. Mirko has a passion for cooking and has obtained the qualification of Agrichef, and will be happy to cook typical Tuscan dishes for you with the genuine products of his company or of other local companies. Casina Paradiso is just a few minutes drive from the town of Cortona, rich in Etruscan reminiscences, priceless and beautiful works of art, noble palaces and characteristic lanes. You cannot miss visiting Cortona and drinking a glass of wine in “Rugapiana” alley.
Lake Trasimeno is also easily accessible from here, with its beautiful beaches, islands and many small historic centres magically set in the green hills that frame it. It is also an ideal destination for lovers of water sports.
The small house is located next to the owners' villa, with whom you will also occasionally share the beautiful swimming pool with panoramic view of Cortona (size m 4x8, depth m 1.40-1.60 - open from 1st May to 30 September). Casina Paradiso is furnished with taste and care down to the smallest detail, is equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi and has a beautiful private terrace-solarium and an outdoor area with barbecue and garden furniture for your dinners “al fresco”. Above all, the terrace will become the focal point of your cool summer evenings with the view of Cortona lit up in the distance.
Casina Paradiso is a small nest, ideal if you are a couple and wish to spend a romantic holiday, to spend your honeymoon, but also as a support point to comfortably visit Tuscany and the nearby Umbria.
