Lovely Villa, beautiful views and exceptionally clean. The villa is a little dated and the beds weren’t the comfiest. Lucca and his wife were amazing hosts and extremely helpful. The villa was a little too remote for us but if that’s what you want, this place is perfect but you do need a good car for the 1 mile off road approach! Sadly the sun leaves the villa at around 5pm which for sun lovers like us was a disappointment but not a lot you can do about that!!!!
Nice and clean apartment with a lot of room. In the garden there is a great view where you can see San Gimignano. If you cross the street there is a swimming pool with also nice views over the hills of Toscany.
Amazing place, amazing owner, amazing region.
As Italian, I have plenty of experiences in countryside accomodations, but this is definitely the best I hever went to.
Casa molto bella immersa nel verde e con una bellissima e rilassante veduta sui colli che la circondano. Strategica anche la sua posizione, a pochi Km da diverse mete turistiche dell'umbia e della toscana. Il proprietario è molto gentile e cordiale; mediamente ogni due giorni viene in casa per qualche ora per curare la piscina , il prato , irrigare le piante in terrazza e per prelevare la spazzatura.
È da segnalare che non esiste un posto auto privato come da descrizione ma è un posto pubblico sulla strada. Ad ogni modo vi è la possibilità del carico/scarico e vi è un ampio parcheggio a pochi passi.
Eravamo due famiglie e siamo stati 3 settimane (in Agosto) benissimo! Peccato per l'invasione di api e vespe che non ci hanno fatto vivere il prato e la terrazza in totale relax; due persone sono state punte e le cene all'aperto con i bimbi erano un'avventura... Siamo stati sfortunati, Stefano (il proprietario) ci ha spiegato che quest'anno non è stato possibile effettuare alcuna operazione di disenfestazione a causa del COVID.
Mi sento di consigliare la struttura a coppie di amici o famiglie con ragazzi, un pò meno a famiglie con bambini ed anziani. Le tante scale, alcune delle quali non troppo sicure per bimni piccoli, non sono ideali per tipologie di famiglie come la nostra.
Spunti di miglioramento? Rivedrei i letti (non tutti comodissimi), aggiungerei zanzariere in tutte le camere e magari qualche ventilatore ( l'abbiamo dovuto acquistare).

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Very nice house surrounded by greenery and with a beautiful and relaxing view of the surrounding hills. Its location is also strategic, just a few kilometers from various tourist destinations in Umbria and Tuscany. The owner is very nice and friendly; on average every two days he comes to the house for a few hours to take care of the swimming pool, the lawn, water the plants on the terrace and to take out the garbage.
It should be noted that there is no private parking space as described but it is a public place on the street. In any case, there is the possibility of loading / unloading and there is a large parking lot within walking distance.
We were two families and we stayed 3 weeks (in August) very well! Too bad for the invasion of bees and wasps that didn't let us experience the lawn and the terrace in total relaxation; two people were spiked and outdoor dinners with the children were an adventure ... We were unlucky, Stefano (the owner) explained to us that this year it was not possible to carry out any disenfestation operations due to COVID .
I would recommend the property to couples of friends or families with children, a little less to families with children and the elderly. The many stairs, some of which are not too safe for small children, are not ideal for types of families like ours.
Suggestions for improvement? I would review the beds (not all very comfortable), I would add mosquito nets in all the rooms and maybe some fans (we had to buy them).

Wie bereits mehrere Jahre haben wir auch dieses Jahr unseren Sommerurlaub im Podere Varlunga verbracht. Auch wenn es diesmal ein etwas anderer Urlaub war, bedingt durch Covid 19, haben wir uns hier wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Der schöne große Pool mit dem grandiosen Ausblick lädt zum entspannen ein. Die Besitzer sind super freundliche, nette Menschen. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und der Pool wird täglich gereinigt. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt. Auch unser kleiner Hund fühlt sich hier sehr wohl, da das Grundstück komplett eingezäunt ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Even if it was a slightly different holiday this time, due to Covid 19, we felt very comfortable again here. The beautiful large pool with the magnificent view invites you to relax. The owners are super friendly, nice people. The property is very well maintained and the pool is cleaned daily. Everything you need for a great vacation is available in the house. Our little dog also feels very comfortable here, as the property is completely fenced. We would love to come back.
This place was super lovely - would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Only improvement would be the installation of fans to keep the house cool during hot weather.
it's difficult to describe how we felt when entering 'our villa' but SUBLIME must comes closest to it and this for both the building itself and the surrounding garden + pool
