We hebben een heel fijn rustig verblijf gehad in Villa Barbara. Een heerlijke ruime villa met heel mooi zwembad en een prachtig uitzicht kilometers ver over Toscane. Op diverse plekken zijn leuke zitjes gemaakt of lekkere loungeplekken. De keuken is wat donker, maar daarom ook wel lekker koel.
De laatste 3 kilometer naar de Villa is wel wat lastiger te rijden. Je hebt dan ook wel een geschikte auto nodig. Het is een prima uitvalsbasis naar diverse mooie steden en dorpjes in Toscane en er zijn ook voldoende restaurantjes in de omgeving.
De eigenaar is erg behulpzaam en goed bereikbaar.

It's a lovely, spacious villa with a beautiful pool and stunning views stretching for miles across Tuscany. There are cozy seating areas and comfortable lounge areas in various spots. The kitchen is a bit dark, but that's why it's nice and cool.
The last 3 kilometers to the villa are a bit more challenging to drive, so you'll need a suitable car. It's an excellent base for exploring several beautiful towns and villages in Tuscany, and there are plenty of restaurants in the area.
The owner is very helpful and easily accessible.
Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt auf dem sehr gepflegten Anwesen mit tollem Pool. Ein wunderbar ruhiger Garten in dem jedes Appartment seinen eigenen privaten Bereich hatte.
Der Vermieter war sehr herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und stand jederzeit für Rückfragen zur Verfügung. Trotz der ruhigen Lage war das idyllische Cortona mit dem Auto innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu erreichen.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

The landlord was very welcoming, attentive, and helpful, and was always available to answer any questions. Despite the quiet location, the idyllic town of Cortona was a 10-minute drive away.
We felt very comfortable and would gladly return.
Amazing property. Has the wow factor! It’s huge! Lovely pool a couple of minutes walk from house. Caretaker shares entrance to accommodation and lives on site. The villa is in a hamlet about 40 minutes drive from Florence and about 10 minutes drive to nearest town / shop.
Waren zum 2ten mal Vorort da uns die Unterkunft so gefiel. Geniale Aufteilung und wunderschönes Anwesen. Freundlich und hilfsbereit und als absolute Empfehlung!

De woning was ruimer en mooier dan op de foto's. Ook de ligging tussen de akkers haal je niet uit de foto's en omschrijving wat echt geweldig is.
de eigenaar(s) zijn uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam ook al spreken de mannen echt alleen maar Italiaans kwamen wij met google translate er overal uit ;-)
voor een vakantie met je gezin en/of vrienden en je gaat echt voor rust en uitzicht is dit DE plaats om te boeken.
het dorpje Volterra is een kleine 20 min rijden (leuk kronkel weggetje de berg op) waar een x aantal supermarkten zijn die de gehele dag open zijn (Coop op zondag middag niet) en zeker de moeite waard om het dorp een bezoekje te geven. vele leuke winkeltjes en restaurants wachten gewoon op je ;-). Op 3 min afstand (met de auto) zit een restaurant/hotel/pizzaria waar ze ook de broodnodige dingen verkopen (beleg, drinken, brood?) en die erg goed is.
alle faciliteiten en benodigdheden zijn gewoon aanwezig in het huisje zelfs de dingen waar je niet zelf niet aan gedacht zou hebben.
Wifi is (aldus de kinderen) goed als deze werkt maar valt wel geregeld weg
Al met al een top vakantie gehad met een uitzicht die geweldig is (bij zonsondergang echt de berg beklimmen achter het huis voor een top uitzicht daarvan).
wij komen zeker terug als we weer in die buurt zoeken!!

The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, even though they only speak Italian. We managed everything with Google Translate ;-)
For a holiday with family and/or friends looking for peace and quiet and a view, this is THE place to book.
The village of Volterra is a short 20-minute drive away (a nice winding road up the mountain). There are several supermarkets open all day (Coop is closed on Sunday afternoons). It's definitely worth a visit. Many lovely shops and restaurants are waiting for you ;-). A 3-minute drive away (by car) is a restaurant/hotel/pizzeria that sells essentials (sandwich fillings, drinks, bread, etc.) and is excellent.
All amenities and necessities are provided in the house, even things you wouldn't have thought of yourself. The Wi-Fi is (according to the children) good when it works, but it does drop out frequently.
All in all, we had a fantastic holiday with a breathtaking view (at sunset, be sure to climb the mountain behind the house for a fantastic view).
We will definitely return if we're ever in the area again!

Perfekte Location für große Gruppen/Familien.
Abgelegen und sehr gut aufgeteilt kommt man von hier aus gut in sämtliche Touristenstädte.
Daneben sind die umliegenden Ortschaften auch einen Besuch wert.
Im Pool kan.man so oft man will Abkühlung genießen und Spaß haben.
