(Mike - Marietta, GA) Our "Party of Eight" group (4 couples) stayed in this villa and our experience could not have been better. The villa is beautiful and provided everything we needed for a super vacation. The villa owner, Barbara, was magnificent! Since we drove to the villa from Rome we arrived right at dinner time (7:30 pm) and (by request) Barbara had prepared a wonderful home-cooked Italian meal with all of the trimmings, including the family red, white and dessert wines, and their very own EVOO. It was so good that we purchased several bottles of the dessert and EVOO to bring home. Later in the week we were ready for a night at home, so Barbara cooked for us again, where she brought us a large bowl of fresh cherries right from the tree in the garden. The view from the villa is even better than the website photos, if that is possible. The location of the villa gave us easy access to San Gimignano, Siena, Castilina, Pisa, Lucca and of course, Florence. Although I drove a Fiat Ducato 9-pax 1200 kilometers all over Tuscany, I will have to say that our two most favorite experiences were dinner at Antico Desco and a wine tasting at Tenuta Torciano winery that you will talk about for months to come; both of which are only 3 kilometers from the villa. Unfortunately, the weather was still a little too cool to take advantage of the pool. So for those visiting in June, July and August, you will have the bonus of experiencing the pool as well. We have rented homes in Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Maine and now Italy. This villa rental experience, including the service provided by the kind folks at Easy Reserve, was second to none! If we ever get the chance, we would definitely stay at Podere Lo Spadino again.
