Borgo Caprile is part of an old village, overlooking a green and wooded valley and no longer inhabited, where once lived the noble families to whom almost the entire Val di Chio estate belonged. In the nearby ruins you can still recognise the old mill and bakery that supplied the entire valley with bread.
In the villa you will find well-preserved architectural features that belonged to noble residences: high ceilings, large fireplaces adorned with friezes in the living rooms and bedrooms, and spacious and bright rooms. Reading your favourite book in front of the ancient, enormous fireplace in the living room will certainly have a special flavour of times gone by.
Borgo Caprile, in order to maintain its architectural style, is furnished with period furniture and characteristic local antiques.
Around the house the green and panoramic area is completely fenced and equipped with garden furniture. Your chosen spot to share with friends or family, will be the terrace overlooking the valley, equipped with tables and chairs, and located next to the barbecue area. It will be the best place to enjoy your lunches and dinners in the open air. The solarium and panoramic swimming pool area below is reachable via some stone steps (size 5x10 m, depth 0.90-2.30 m).
Only 6 km away is the village of Castiglion Fiorentino with its characteristic historical centre made of old buildings, narrow streets and small squares and equipped with shops, supermarkets and typical restaurants.
If you like walking, you can reach a restaurant and a small grocery shop in the small hamlet of Santa Cristina on foot, after a 2 km walk through the vineyards. Even your small size four-legged friends are welcome here.
