We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Del Gallo Nero. There were 10 of us staying for 5 days over the Thanksgiving time period. The service/info we received from the owner and management company was excellent. We had many questions/requests ahead of time and each one was addressed and worked out. The villa is well equipped and comfortable. There were a few minor bathroom issues (slow drains, broken shower head in one B.R.) but all in all, it was in good working order. A highlight of our stay was when the winemaker across the road came over to give us a personal wine tasting. Fantastic! We also had a chef come in one day (recommended by property manager) to cook. Awesome! We would definitely go back.
The propoerty can be difficult to find but, once there, you will not be disappointed. It is a gorgeous property, and you will feel you have been transported back several hundred years when you stay there.
We had a wonderful week in La Miccia, beautifully renovated historic building on the square. We strolled in the morning for our coffee, pastry and newspaper. Very easy access to a number of locations in Chianti and the rest of the Tuscan region.
Our evening of cooking and eating with Marina and Francesco was a highlight, with wonderful Tuscan hospitality to remember for years.
What a wonderful home you have here. It was a joy to stay. We loved coming back and making dinner and playing cards or just talking about our day. The kitchen table is THE gathering place! Than you for providing such a beautiful place for all paople to come to.
We took many day trips to Lucca, La Spezia, Pisa, Montecatini, Camaiore, Portofino and others despite the rain! Quite beautiful all over warm paople, welcoming people!
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely place in a really beautiful location overlooking San Gimignano. Marco and family were extremely helpful and hospitable, without being in any way obtrusive. They even allowed me to help them a little with the olive harvest - which was great fun! We found the bed mattress rather soft and unsupportive, and experienced quite a bit of noise at times from the neighbouring apartment, but nevertheless would thouroughly recommend this apartment and very much hope to return some day in the not-too-distant future!
The property far exceeded our expectations. The villa was superbly located with views out over the plains below Cortona. It was spacious and easily accomodated us and our two daughters. It really really did make our stay very memorable and we would not hesitate to recommend it.
Beautiful apartment in the former, but fully renowated barn.Fully equiped kitchen a large bedroom a dining and a livingroom. 2 large and well equiped bathrooms. Very undisturbed and quiet place in the hills, among olive- and wineyards and a wonderful view to Sienna 10 km away. We really enjoyed it.
We stayed at the Palazzo Rosadi with three other couples. Our visit was in mid-October and we cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience it was.
Mr. Rosadi was most accommodating. We took advantage of the Extra Services offered: transfer by van with driver, which picked us up at our hotel in Florence and returned us at the end of the week, and car hire. This service was excellent…the van was prompt and it was very convenient to arrive at the property and have two cars waiting for us in the driveway.
In addition to greeting us and providing a tour of the property, Mr. Rosadi had a list of wonderful towns to visit, as well as restaurants. Visiting the small towns with their own individual charm was truly the way to enjoy the Tuscan region. Monterchi is delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed the Festival held the day after our arrival.
Now for the best part – the Palazzo Rosadi. This property is everything you see in the pictures and more. It is quaint, charming and comfortable. The house is over 200 years old, but it has been updated to the best standards without loosing any of its charm. After a day of visiting the surrounding towns and villages, sitting down with friends and a glass of wine on the back lawn, which had a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside, provided a beautiful ending to a beautiful day. Highly recommend.
This property was perfect for us. the owners were so friendly yet gave us our privacy. The villa was clean and had the right amount of space we needed. Our kids enjoyed running around the vineyard and playing with their cats. I was also very appreciative that the owners allowed my kids to use the pool eventhough it was previously stated that it was to be closed. It was really too cold to swim but that never seems to stop my small kids from wanting to splash around. this allowed my husband and I some relaxation to sit by the pool and chat while they played. Again--I really appreciated that.
This Villa is a must the food the owners were all amazing. My husband and I took cooking classes. We are actually making fresh pasta this weekend thanks to the chefs from the Villa. Wonderful week there. Again the food every night was amazing. (I ate Vegetarian) EVery night something spectular was on our plate.
