What a hidden gem Torre Del Cielo is, this house and location are one of the best kept sectrets in Tuscany. From the moment we arrived until our leaving each of the 10 members of my family group marvelled at the landscape with the beautiful rolling hills in the backdrop of the vibrant sun flower. First there is the house itself which exudes Tuscan tradition and more wonderful vistas down the valley. Then there is the most atmospheric tower room with its private roof top balcony which was a winner in my book any day.
The gardens are very large and superbly tended to as were all our needs by Rosado, his father and his staff who have a knack of always being there if you need them yet totally unobtrusive at all other times. The private pool is just that, totally private and unsighted from anywhere else in the surrounding areas and was cleaned daily.
The lay out is also very well thought out with an outdoor gazebo on the lower levels near the house which being ideal for lunch and dinner whilst the gazebo by the pool gave respite for cool drinks during the hot afternoons
Such was the beauty of the area that when we did wrestle ourselves away it was only to take time on occassion to visit a town, cafe or restuarant recommended by Rosado with both local eateriers in Monterchi (3km) living up to their billing very well indeed.
This was not my first trip to Tuscany but it was by a long way my best and I would recommend the Torre Del Cielo to anyone looking for a genuine taste of Tuscany.
Cannot say enough other than to thank Rosado once more for a memorable stay that will take a lot to beat it.
Mooie, goed onderhouden villa op rustige locatie naast twee andere villa's gescheiden door een haag. Tijdens verblijf worden privé zwembad en tuin onderhouden door de vriendelijke eigenaars wat een pluspunt is. Vanuit Castiglione zijn heel wat mooie dorpen en steden te bezichtigen. Een auto ter plaatse is een must. Een aanrader voor een ontspannen(gezins)vakantie zonder toeristendrukte.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] Beautiful, well maintained villa in a quiet location next to two other houses separated by a hedge. During the stay the private pool and garden are being maintained by the friendly owners, which is a plus. From Castiglione there are many beautiful villages and towns to visit. A car is a must. Recommended for a relaxed (family) vacation without crowds of tourists.
Lovely villa in a great location. A couple of things we didn't realise: there is actually currently no internet provision (wifi or otherwise) at the villa, which was problematic for our group particularly as a couple of us had to stay in touch with work. Also: the lady who looks after the house actually lives on-site next door in an annex, which was no issue and totally unintrusive but psychologically it's much nicer to think your group is seclueded and in a private place to relax alone. Otherwise, all great.
We loved this villa and we had a wonderful week. The village of Montalcino is unbelievable ! The site is fantastic, the villa is clean, well decorated and very comfortable ! Everything was perfect ! The person who was in charge was very nice, the other one from the agency explained to us many things to do around, the owner was also nice with us.. We just want to go back as soon as possible !
We spent a wonderfull week in Villa Beboli. Everything workwd fine except for the informations given in advance from Easy Reserve - I will contact them personally. The House is very big and have lots of lovely rooms and bathrooms. Everything was neat and clean. The only thing that disturbed us a bit was the gardener cleaning the pool at odd times.
Es war eine tolle Zeit in dieser Gegend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder diese Anlage buchen. Saubere und sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnungen. Die Anlage ist kindgerecht zum Spielen erbaut und sehr gepflegt. Man kann nur + Punkte erteilen. Schöner Pool.
Das einzige was ein bisschen gefehlt hat, sind Kleinigkeiten wir Flyer wo mann den Müll wegbringt ( Zentral im Ort ), Bedienung der Klimaanlage war nur nur Italienisch. Kontakt zum Eigentümer ist sehr verhalten aber trotzdem ok. Man sollte keinen Hotelservice erwarten.

Die Gegend ist ein Traum. Zum Wandern , Baden ( Strand ca. 30 min entfernt ). Selbst Segeln und Paragleiter fliegen ist diese Gegend ein Eldorado.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We had a great time in this area. We would book this accommodation again at any time. Clean and well equipped apartments. The location is suitable for children to play and very well maintained. One can only give + points. Nice pool.
The only thing that was missing a little, was some information on how to dispose of the garbage (in the centre of the village),and the manual for the air conditioning was only in Italian language. There is little contact with the owner but still ok. One should not expect any hotel services.
The area is a dream. For hiking, swimming (beach about 30 minutes away). Even sailing and paragliding, this area is a paradise.
We stayed in June and although it was very hot and sunny while we were there the Villa was usually pleasant even without air conditioning. We stayed in the largest apartment, Salario, with 6 adults. The master suite with large bedroom with antiques and beautiful bath is by far the best room, but the other two bedrooms that share a bath are also nice. They were fine for my adult children and their friends.
We very much enjoyed the area and the fact that the Villa is part of a working farm, the owners breed Arabian Horses and on our last night there we saw a horse born--a truly unique experience. Stephania and Alexandro were nothing but accommodating and the dinner cooked on site was to die for. Buonconvento is a pretty convenient town with good train service. Be prepared in this area for dirt roads with lots of hills and if you rent a car likely a stick shift. We saw Sienna, Montalcino, Florence and much more. A wonderful vacation. Note there is a rooster who makes his presence known very early in the morning--but we got used to him. A family with younger children would find the animals just as charming as we did. And the Pool is to die for!!
What an amazing place. Everything about Villa Il Nido was fantastic - including the wonderful hospitality shown to us by Paolo and his family. It is hard to put into words the extent at which this property met all our needs. The pool is gorgeous and not too cold, the bedrooms are very comfortable and lovely and cool in the heat. The kitchen and dining area are extremely well equipped and the views are breathtaking. Thank you Maria Christina for the beautiful fresh vegetables - your generosity and hospitality were appreciated and without any intrusion at all to our . Thank you - we will be back.
