Het lezen van commentaar en recensies van vorige huurders die al verbleven in een Toscaanse villa of appartement is een uitstekende manier om te beginnen met het plannen van uw reis naar Toscane, Italië. Na het verblijf vragen wij aan alle huurders om de verschillende aspecten van de accommodatie te beoordelen en tevens een algemene opmerking te publiceren. Als u er aan denkt om de volgende vakantie naar Toscane te komen neem dan zeker even de tijd om deze recensies door te lezen - u zal er geen spijt van krijgen.
Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf op Santamargherita! In het echt ziet het eruit zoals op de foto's en soms nog net even beter. Het is een rustige omgeving met alles erop en eraan en het ligt prachtig, even buiten het dorpje Castelluccio. In Castelluccio heb je een kleine dorpssupermarkt die alles biedt waar je als vakantieganger naar op zoek bent. Verder is in het dorp weinig te beleven. Maar Arezzo ligt op nog geen 10 km afstand waar je van alles en nog wat binnen handbereik hebt.
Tot slot: de eigenaresse (Claudia) en haar man (ben zijn naam vergeten helaas) zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Ze hebben het kasteel (wat 50 jaar schijnbaar leeg heeft gestaan) erg mooi opgeknapt en zijn (naar eigen zeggen) pas gestart met de verhuur van de appartementen. Wat voor ons erg prettig was, is dat aan het zwembad veel geoorloofd is. Of je nu zelf je broodjes meeneemt of tijdens de lunch aan de luxe bar wat besteld, het maakt niet uit. Ook honden zijn er welkom, ze hebben zelf ook heel schattig beestje.
Wat eveneens prettig is, is dat je nauwelijks in de gaten hebt dat er andere gasten zijn. De een spendeert zijn dag bijvoorbeeld aan het zwembad terwijl de ander er op uit trekt.
In het weekend wordt het wat drukker vanwege de lokale bevolking die dan gebruik komt maken van het prachtig aangelegde zwembad en ligweide. Is juist leuk want zo is er net even wat meer rumoer en actie. Om vervolgens op maandag weer heerlijk rustig te zijn :-)
Voor ons in ieder geval een plek waar we graag naar toe terug willen. Prijs - kwaliteit is zeker in verhouding met elkaar!

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We really enjoyed our stay at Santamargherita! It looks like the pictures and sometimes even slightly better. It is a quiet area with all the trimmings and it is beautiful, just outside the village of Castelluccio. In Castelluccio you have a small town grocery store that offers everything you are looking for a holiday. Furthermore there is not much to do in the village. But Arezzo is located at only 10 km and here you have everything at your fingertips.
The owner (Claudia) and her husband (forgot his name unfortunately) are very friendly and hospitable. They renovated the castle (which has been empty for 50 years apparently) very nicely and just started renting the apartments. What for us was very nice is that at the pool a lot is justified. Whether you bring your own sandwiches or lunch at the luxurious bar, it does not matter. Dogs are welcome, they themselves have a very cute dog.
What is also nice is that you hardly realize that there are other guests. For example, one spends his day at the pool while other guests are out sightseeing.
During the weekend it gets a little busier because of the locals who come and use the beautifully landscaped pool and sunbathing area. It's fun because that's just a bit more noise and action. Then again on Monday very quiet :-)
For us at least one place where we like to go back to. Price - quality is definitely relative to each other!

Tenuta Di Corsano was a perfect accommodation, the location we idea for visiting many of the small towns in the area and the owners were excellent hosts. I would recommend it for anyone wishing to visit this area of Tuscany. We stayed in the La Corte apartment, it was spotless on our arrival and very spacious. You really can't say enough good things about the place and the people who run it.
Great location in the charming town of Lucigniano. While Viletta Tre Palme didn't have the Tuscan old world charm we had originally hoped for, it was in a great central location. Everything we wanted to see was within an hour in any direction. The villa is a more modern building that was in a comfortable, quiet location. The A/C was a nice addition on a few of the warm evenings.
Greve is a wonderful little town which you can easily use as a base to explore the Tuscany region. It is approximately 25 minutes to Florence, 40 minutes to Sienna and about an hour to the the hill towns. This accomodation provides everything you need to make your holiday complete. The pool and grounds are a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing or to spend a day around the pool. The owners provide a traditional pizza party which is well worth attending and is a nice touch. The only improvement that could be made is the addition of a toaster. A wonderful holiday rental!
Very nice ambience, very recommendable for a relaxing stay (even with young children). It's just a bit on the expensive side; also check whether faded elegance is your piece of cake.
We loved our stay at Agriturismo San Clemente. It has a great location, is newly renovated, and is very clean. We stayed in the Pinot apartment and it was perfect for us (a couple with a small dog). Their olive oil and wine are both fantastic, so we recommend trying them during your stay!

De plek waar het huis staat is boven op de berg met een schitterend uitzicht en zeer rustig gelegen. Het app is zeer compleet en aan het zwembad. Hier is volop plaats om te zonnen en om in de schaduw te zitten. De bedden en de slaapbank liggen goed. Op verzoek is er een los bed geplaatst zodat de kinderen (13 EN 15 jr)ieder een eigen slaapplaats hadden. Internet is aanwezig maar niet in het huisje. Dit is alleen aanwezig in app Ginestra. Het bereik is rondom het hoofdgebouw wat ca 15m verder staat. De eigenaars zijn zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Ze spreken Duits en Engels. De zelfgemaakte jam en honing smaken uitstekend. Voor verse broodjes is er een klein supermarktje op ca 10 minuten afstand, gelegen in een hoger gelegen dorpje.

Here you have plenty of space to sunbathe and get in the shade. The beds and the sofa bed are good. On request, a separate bed was placed so the children (13 and 15 years) each had their own bed. Internet is available but not in the house. It's available only in the unit Ginestra. The connection range is around the main building which is about 15m further. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. They speak German and English. The homemade marmalade and honey taste perfectly. For fresh bread there is a small supermarket at approx. 10 minutes, in a village situated just a little higher.
We waren met 2 gezinnen samen in Montescalari 6. Het was een prima ruim appartement, goed schoon. Jammer dat je steeds naar beneden moest met je ontbijtspullen ed. Buiten had je een stuk tuin beschikbaar waar je heerlijk kon zitten. BBQ beschikbaar. Evenals een aantal mountainbikes (die je s avonds wel weer naar boven moest fiesten, pff).
Het zwembad was wat verouderd (tegeltjes lieten los) en best een pittige klim. Wel lekkere ligbedjes en een fantastisch uitzicht. Grote parasols Ook leuk dat er een tafeltennistafel en voetbalspel was. Heerlijk genoten samen me de andere 43 gasten van een traditionele maaltijd. Andrea is een fanastische gastheer. Wijn en olijfolie van het landgoed mee terug genomen. Gemoedelijke rustgevende sfeer. Prima wasmachine in het huisje beschikaar. Bij de receptie WIFI gratis beschikbaar. Wel wat afgelegen (zo'n 3 km van de Chiantiroute). Voor vers brood was je wel 8 km onder weg (en weer terug). Vanaf Filigne binnen een half uur in Florence met de sneltrein vanuit Rome (aanrader). We hebben genoten van de prachtige omgeving. Fam. ter Borg en Steur uit Paterswolde (4 tieners).

Too bad you had to go down each time with your breakfast items etc. Outside there was a lovely piece of garden available where you could sit. BBQ available. Like a number of mountain bikes (which you had to drive back up hill again in the evening though, pffff).
The pool was a little outdated (some loose tiles) and quite a steep climb. But nice sunbeds and fantastic views. Large umbrellas. Also nice that there was a table tennis and football. We enjoyed the delicious traditional meal together with the other 43 guests. Andrea is a fanastische host. We took some wine and olive oil from the estate back home. Warm soothing atmosphere. Excellent washing machine in the house available. WIFI at the reception free of charge. A little remote (about 3 km from the Chianti Road). To get fresh bread you will drive 8 km (and back). From Figline within half houryou can reach Florence by express train (recommended). We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Fam. Ter Borg and Steur from Paterswolde (4 teenagers).
