The appt is cozy and enjoyable.
It was a bit of a shock to get there though as its 4km off an unmarked dirt road with no lights, so very hard to arrive at dusk. The booking didnt prepare us for the relative remoteness of the property, which meant that each family needed to have their own car to be independent (which we didnt) - wasnt advisable to use a large van as we did on that road. The transport links from San Polo were very poor to Firenze.
The property had good rooms and kitchen.
My suggestion is for the showers to be fitted with small corner shelves to hold toileteries
Pergolo was decently furnished (not as grand as Padronale)
However, the shared space (Kitchen and Living) could be considerably better as the sofa there was in a very poor and ratty condition and should be replaced. A coffee table could be added. Just these simple things would give a much nicer feel to the room
The internet was inaccessible in this part of the house. It would be a good investment (EUR50?) to have a repeater or internet signal amplifier around Pergolo.
We had great pleasure in staying at the property. The accommodation is excellent, the villa is equipped with all needed kitchen appliances. The view is breathtaking. The hosts are very kind. They organised a wine testing evening which was a new experience for us.
This was a beautiful apartment and we really enjoyed our time here. The apartment is very spacious and quiet and the property is really beautiful. Both Barbara and Mimosa were very attentive and helpful. I would recommend two improvements. 1) Provide all the necessities and include them in the price. For example, everyone needs dishwashing liquid, so why not just provide it and add the cost to the rental? Also, the mattresses could be more comfortable. It may just be personal preference, but these apartments are so beautiful, why not have high end mattresses?
Easy Reserve excellent to deal with, responded quickly to queries when booking. We had an email contact (Laura) and a local phone contact. Both were friendly, knowledgable and very helpful and priceless for local information. Accomodation clean and high standard. 2 minor gripes 1 tea towel not enough for 7 for a week, we bought some and brought them home as souvenirs!!DVD player would be useful for low season when it gets dark earlier.
What a wonderful surprise! As high as our expectations were, they were exceeded. We had such a warm welcome from Señora Daniela, a beautiful and delicious fruit tart and a bottle of Proseco...and a surprisingly well-equipped kitchen and dining room. All in all, we wanted for almost nothing. We came equipped with a Cordon Bleu chef and even he was surprised and delighted (only wishing he had brought his knives!). The house had everything one would wish for...beautiful fresh flowers throughout...fresh herbs in the gardens....fresh eggs in ample supply from the señora...home-made olive oil...a dream. Believe in the pictures on the internet...very accurate portrayal of a lovely villa. Wonderful location...just carefully heed the directions when first arriving. I think it important to have a car, but even still, we ventured to Siena by bus...a bit of an adventure but in the end, fun. Cautions? There is a little store just up the road with a couple of very nasty women working there. Very nasty. Beautiful foodstuffs albeit very expensive. We found our way to the local supermarket, Conads...and it was great and they had everything we needed and after speaking with Daniela we found our way with ease. We shall return!
The villa was perfect and immaculate inside and out, the location is stunning and Alessandro, the manager, was a truly fantastic host. We visited to plan our wedding for 2015 and we will definitely be booking the villa for our special event next year.
Ich kann das Haus Cerrentini nur empfehlen. Supergünstig in der Nebensaison und wunderschön. Das Haus hat echt ein schönen großen Garten mit tollen Ausblick und man ist sehr schnell in Montepulciano, Sienna oder Perugia. Ich empfehle das Haus vor allem großen Gruppen. Wir waren zwölf personen und hatten beide Wohnungen gemietet. Die untere Wohnung ist dennoch groß genug das man zusammen essen kann und es gibt sogar fast genug Liegestühle für jeden. Die Vermieter sind übrigens auch super nett. Auch jungen Leuten kann ich das Haus empfehlen. Wir wurden super herzlich empfangen.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] I can only recommend the holiday home Cerretini. Very cheap in the off season and beautiful. The house has a lovely large garden with great view and you can easily reach Montepulciano, Siena or Perugia. I recommend this house especially to large groups. We were twelve people and we had rented the two units. The lower apartment is big enough that you can eat all together and there are even nearly enough sun loungers for everyone. Moreover the owners are very kind. I can recommend this house even to young people. We received a very warm welcome.
This home will be the highlight of your Tuscany holiday; it certainly was for us. Perla and her family are perfect hosts, and their 500-year-old villa will exceed your expectations. By all means, choose to have the hand-crafted breakfast in the large dining room, with a crackling fire in season. Do not miss this perfect place!
