The accommodation was excellent and suited our purposes well. Even taking the age of the property into account the apartment was very clean. As we were there in March it could be cool but the heating was efficient and it warmed quickly. The welcome and tour of the village was great and the location of the apartment makes you feel of the village very quickly. We recommend the "Solo Bar" next to the church for coffee ( they will do takeaway). We would happily stay again.
C'est la 2ème fois que nous venons dans le logement Flavia 2 et nous sommes toujours agréablement surpris : qualité de la décoration, propreté, gentillesse des propriétaires.Il manque juste quelques chaines de télévision française. A recommander.

Wunderbare, kleine familiäre Anlage im Grünen - das typisch toskanische Haus bietet genügend Platz. Küche ausreichend ausgestattet, Bäder einfach, aber ok - ruhiges, beschauliches Haus mit einer wunderschönen Terrasse!
Der Ort ist in 5 Minuten vom Haus erreichbar.
This is an excellent apartment for a family 6+. the grounds and castle are excellent areas for children to explore after a hard days travel. Well situated to explore Florence, Valterra, San G, and many other Tuscano hill towns. Kitchen was well apportioned, bathrooms excellent. I highly recommend this place, but not for budget travelers.
San Giovanni Valdarno is an excellent location from which to explore the culture and scenery of the middle 1/3 of Italy. While we used our leased car for our excursions, there is excellent rail service at a very reasonable price. We enjoyed many walks, directly from our apartment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relationships with the Mugnai family during our entire 2-month stay; they were pleasant and helpful.
The apartment is spacious, well-maintained and provides easy access to the outside. It is very accommodating for persons with mobility challenges. On the downside, since it is also designed to minimize oppressive summer heat, we found the floor cold. To ameliorate this, we suggested that the owner make available some mats for winter use. Although we cooked most of our meals in the small kitchen, we recommended that the owner install a microwave oven. We were pleased that the owner promptly provided a dehumidifier at our request.
Ein hübsches Haus auf einem Hügel in einem kleinen Weiler, absolut ruhige Lage mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Im Herzen des Chianti Classico-Gebietes, sehr gut gelegen für Ausflüge von Florenz bis Siena, San Giminiano und am weitesten waren wir in Volterra (ca. 1,5 Autostunden)
Die Fotos sind aktuell, Küche ist gut eingerichtet, Backofen funktioniert! Wir waren über Neujahr dort und es war sehr kalt (Temperaturen unter 0°). Das Haus ist schwer zu beheizen im Winter; Gasheizung ist sehr teuer (wir wurden von den Besitzern aber vorher informiert). Für die warme Jahreszeit sehr zu empfehlen. Besitzer Simone ist ein sehr guter Handwerker und war sofort zur Stelle, als eine Leitung gefroren war.
Nächstes Dorf Greve in Chianti sehr hübsch, dort gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Im Weiler sind Wein- und Olivenbauern, man kann direkt bei ihnen einkaufen. Guter Wein! Trotz Kälte hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] A pretty house on a hill in a small hamlet, absolutely quiet location with great views. In the heart of the Chianti Classico area, very well located for trips to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra where we were the most (about 1,5 hour drive).
The photos are up to date, the kitchen is well equipped, the oven works! We stayed over New Year and it was very cold (temperatures below 0 °). The house is hard to heat in winter; the gas heating is very expensive (we were anyway informed by the owners about that at our arrival). The property is very much recommended for the warm season. The owner Simone is a very good craftsman and was immediately on the spot when a pipe was frozen.
The nearest village Greve in Chianti very pretty with good shopping facilities. In the hamlet are vineyards and olive growers, you can buy directly from them. Good wine! Despite the cold we loved all very much.
The villa, owners and Subbiano was an excellent experience. I am planning to return as soon as time allows to do so.
