Villa Noceta is a beautiful manor home perched on a classical Tuscany ridge, overlooking a farm and a 1,000 year old castle. The location is a little remote, but the quality of the villa and the great service by the owner makes the villa a gem.

Massanera may be the best place we have ever stayed. Our host Carlo is one of a kind. At the age of 80 he is still working the farm every day but he finds a lot of time to interact with his guests. We stayed 8 nights and Carlo treated us two nights to dinners with him and other guests at Massanera. Carlos speaks at least four languages so the guests from various places can interact. Marco, who works for Carlo, did a great job cooking the dinners. We all sat at a long table, eating mostly foods grown on his farm - wild pig, deer, wine, olive oil, prociutto, limoncello, and more I have probably forgotten. Massanera wine is very good. A feast!
Massanera property is stunningly beautiful with long range views of rolling hills planted with grapes, olives, and lemons and mountains behind. Everything is lush green in April.
We stayed in April. Weather was between 19 and 24C most days. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The owner Renzo and his wife stay in the same building it is a completely separate home, including a different door. The location is lovely and it is possible to walk into Montespertoli village which has a decent grocery store (Co-op), coffee shops and cafes and restaurants. The walk is long an averagely busy road up a steep enough hill and you need to be careful - but it's a nice walk. Renzo speaks little english but he's very used to tourists and is pleasant without being intrusive. He's greeted us with a couple of bottles of local wine and didnt let us leave without a bottle of his homemade Limoncello. We had a lovely stay here.
Our stay at Torre del Cielo was delightful. Our trip to Monterchi from the US was fraught with problems, delayed flight, lost luggage, etc., which brought us to Monterchi after dark exhausted and stressed. But when we woke in the morning the beauty and peace of the villa and the grounds restored our spirits. We are very grateful for the warmth, guidance and practical support of Rosado, who was always easily available and attentive.

Great apartment, plenty of room. It was nice to have our own space but to be close to everything. It was about 1/2 hour walk to the center of town. Owners were moving out when we were there so there was still some of their stuff there, kind of felt like we were staying in someone else's house, not a "rental" property.
Sehr schönes und hervorragend ausgestattetes Ferienhaus im toskanischen Landhausstil. Teil eines Doppelhauses einer erst vor einigen Jahren errichteten kleinen Anlage am Rande einer kleinen Durchfahrtsstraße, trotzdem sehr ruhig gelegen und harmonisch in Wein- und Olivenfelder eingefügt. Der Eigentümer empfing uns herzlich und pünktlich wie vereinbart und mit einem Korb voller Leckereien, sodass wir für den Abend schon ausgesorgt hätten! Er zeigte uns das ganze Haus auf insgesamt drei Etagen, das er als Ferienhaus auch selbst bewohnt. Alles ist sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, es gibt drei Bäder und zwei Gartenbereiche sowie einen Balkon; zu einer späteren Jahreszeit kann man hier bestimmt wunderbare Abende genießen! Der Gemeinschaftspool ist schön angelegt und wird ab Mitte Mai geöffnet.Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet. was man braucht, Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine gibt es ebenfalls. sogar einen Pizzaofen!
Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt für Familien oder befreundete Paare empfehlen. Vom Haus aus ist man zu Fuß in weniger als 5 Minuten im Ort Villa a Sesta mit einigen guten Lokalen, der nächste größere Ort mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist das mittelalterliche Städtchen Castelnuovo Berardenga in 6 km Entfernung.
