Heerlijke vakantie gehad in dit leuke Italiaanse huis. Fantastisch zwembad. Meer dan genoeg ruimte voor iedereen. Pietro komt elke dag even langs voor het zwembad en een praatje. Hij is heel behulpzaam en vrijgevig. We hebben heerlijke honing gekregen van zijn eigen bijen en zelfgemaakte wijn!
Elke dag, zo halverwege de middag, begon het waaien en koelde het lekker af. Dus het perfecte moment om alle ramen open te zetten. Geen airco nodig. (Wij hadden 2 weken ruim 30 graden!)
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely Italian house. Fantastic pool. More than enough space for everyone. Pietro comes by every day to visit the pool and chat. He's very helpful and generous. We received delicious honey from his own bees and homemade wine!
Every day, around mid-afternoon, the wind started blowing and it cooled down nicely. So it was the perfect time to open all the windows. No air conditioning needed. (We had over 30 degrees Celsius for two weeks!)
Een heel fijn verblijf gehad in de woning in Larciano, bij Carlo en Tamara!!
Propere ruime kamers, de keuken en buitenkeuken ook in orde, het zwembad steeds 'gelekt',... Fijn contact met de eigenaars (niet te veel, niet te weinig,... Je voelt aan dat je als huurder zelf bepaalt...) die ook wel enkele plaatselijke tips meegeven...
TOP locatie, TOP woning voor max 6 volw. en enkele kids...
Een heerlijk huis met een enorm tuin (olijfboomgaard) en een prachtig zwembad. Erg fijn dat er een BBQ was en een overdekt hoek waar lekker loungebanken staan. De verhuurder (die woont er vlak naast, maar waar je geen last van hebt) was erg behulpzaam als we vragen hadden. Ook was er in het huis een boek aanwezig met allerlei tips.
We had an amazing and restful time at this villa - as others have said, the pictures don't do it justice. It's set in a beautiful part of the country side, short walk to San Donato with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Larger supermarkets 15 mins drive away so a car is recommended - and easy to manage from Florence airport but allow plenty of time for collecting and dropping off hire cars at the airport as you need to use a short transfer bus and you might need to wait for 1 or 2 of the 20 minute loops to get on. We were 6 in the villa so all 4 children had their own rooms and plenty of space. The house is very well equipped and the owners have really worked hard to make it a home from home. Kitchen is very well equipped, there are lots of places to sit in the property by yourself or with others and the table football and table tennis table were a great addition. The local bourse management (Debora and family - you get to meet everyone! :-) are very supportive with advice when you need it but also leave you alone to enjoy the villa. Weather was hot (32 degrees generally) but the stone house manages the heat well and the air conditioning is perfectly adequate. We particularly enjoyed the volunteer-run pizza restaurant next to the Coop. Great fun and I can't think of anything about the property or the holiday that we could improve -- and of course you have Florence on your doorstep (use the 'park and ride'), and Pisa, Sienna, Lucca all very reachable for a day trip. If you pick this villa, I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Une propriété située au cœur des vignes de chianti et des oliviers, dotée d’une piscine avec une superbe vue et des hôtes adorables et très discrets. Le vin produit est excellent et labellisé bio. La maison est fonctionnelle et les terrasses extérieures très agréables. La situation géographique est idéale, à 3/4 d’heure de Florence ou de Sienne.
Superbe location dans le Val d'Orcia
Ferme joliment rénovée et piscine très appréciée par toute la famille après les visites de la région (Sienne, Pienza, Montalcino, Bagni San Filippo...).
Les propriétaires présents lors de notre séjour nous ont très bien accueillis et ont partagé conseils et adresses.
This was our first family holiday with the grandkids ( 4 year old, 18 month old and a 7 month old) and this villa ticked all the boxes - good size pool not too close to villa, proximity to Lucca and the airport and plenty of bathrooms. Our daily routine with young kids settled in quickly and easily as there was the Esselunga supermarket ( 10 mins drive) which became a daily visit, a garden centre/DIY ( 5 mins drive) for any bbq essentials and a great steak family oriented restaurant El Paso ( 10 mins drive). The swimming pool was a hit for adults and kids especially when it gets really hot in the afternoon. Thankfully all the rooms are equipped with efficient air conditioning for the night ( extras) and the wooden shutters on the windows help keep the heat out too. The beds were very comfortable ( mattresses on the firm side) and they come with mosquito netting which was indispensable. There is much higher mosquito activity being in the countryside in Italy, and thankfully we managed this after a visit to Esselunga for sprays and electric pest repellant.
The kitchen deserves a mention as we ended up cooking more than we planned. Whilst it is on the small side, it is equipped with a good electric oven, gas stove and a dishwasher. It has a great range of stainless steel pots and pans and is much appreciated by all who ends up cooking. I was amazed at the choices of plates, glasses and serving platters!
Highly recommend to anyone with small kids and families who are happy to do their own cooking. When we are not cooking in the kitchen, we were using the barbecue every other day.
My only 2 suggestions for improvement would be to provide more shade outside in the seating area. The existing seating/eating area is located right outside the downstairs bedroom windows. Since we prefer to have kids sleeping on the ground floor, this meant we had to keep the noise down during their afternoon nap time and bedtime. If the roof can be extended towards the opposite end ( outside the internal dining area), another table seating area can be added which is much further away from the ground floor bedrooms. Also, an outdoor electric insect zapper would be much appreciated.
Final note on the staff who have been of great assistance.....Barbara from Easy reserve who went out of her way to help me sort out my motorway ticket, Filippo and Anna who were both amazing at handling our requests at the villa.
PS: There is a playroom upstairs with plenty of toys which will keep the young ones happy for the week if they are not in the pool.
We have been here 1 week this summer and 1 week last summer. We love this place, especially the pool area is amazing and a very big private area. The house is very standard, you have everything you need but no more. The house owner is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
