Accueil très chaleureux, location très agréable et bien située. Ilaria nous a bien renseigné sur les possibilités de visite et reste disponible pour tout renseignement au cours du séjour.
Estar en este lugar es permanecer en constante tranquilidad. Sus dueñas son una familia que viven en el mismo recinto y hacen que tu estadía sea lo más acogedora posible. Podras disfrutar de una experiencia única y memorable.
Overall the house was great, however leaving 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for a 2 week stay was very disappointing! We had to buy more toilet paper! And the fact that we had to take out the recycling each morning was bothersome. A big plus of this rental was use of beach resort called Dogde resort. This was never mentioned in the advertisement but it was so nice to walk 3 blocks to the resort and be given a umbrella and loungers. The people at the resort were very nice. The house was spacious and clean, but the decor is so dated! The fake flowers everywhere….yes! Everywhere! Are really annoying. Someone should tell the owners that the sprinkler system still activates we even in the rain. There was frequent showers during our stay and the garden became very soggy, which lead to many, many mosquitoes! Some nights were so bad we had to stay indoors. Then the gardener came and watered the garden again!
The scenery of this place is just amazing. The pool has a great view, there are sunbeds and chairs, and the hostess Paola is super friendly. We got a welcome drink, we could use their wood for the fireplace, and she helped with making a reservation at a restaurant. Only downside is that there are no restaurants nearby, so you always have to drive to a place. Paola can help with a cab (return San Gimignano for six people costs €100)
We stayed at Villa Magrini for three months from June to September 2023, choosing it for it's location between Firenze and Lucca. We found that you did not have to travel far to experience interesting hilltop towns, access local markets or tour historic villas and parks or sample wines and olive oils from vineyards adjacent Fattoria di Fubbiano. To travel further we used the excellent train system that operates in Tuscany using the station at nearby Pescia as our starting point. From here we embarked on trips to Firenze, Venice, Salerno, Carrara, Lucca and Livorno etc. On the other side of the travel Villa Magrini provided a place of very quiet solitude. The private pool was magnificent, especially during warm periods although we always found we had a breeze coming up the valley. To support our resting periods we found the Fubbiano wines to be well priced, of good quality and very quaffable.
Enhancing our stay the staff at Fubbiano provided friendly and efficient service and met our every request. The place was also kept immaculately clean by twice weekly servicing.
In summary our experience at Villa Magrini was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Unser Aufenthalt mit sechs Erwachsenen und zwei Vorschulkindern war unvergesslich.
Wunderschönes Haus mit neuer Küche, bequemen Betten und einem traumhaften Ausblick. Der Pool ist richtig groß und wird vom Besitzer selbst regelmäßig gereinigt. Die Außenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt und laden zum grillen und draußen sitzen ein. Das Dorf ist typisch italienisch, nach Montepulciano ist es nicht weit und zum nächsten Supermarkt fährt man etwa 15 Minuten.
Wir hatten unseren Hund mit, was auch völlig problemlos funktioniert hat (Extrakosten: 5 Euro pro Tag).
Wir waren hier sehr glücklich und kommen ganz sicher wieder.
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an den Besitzer Andrea, der uns mit seiner herzlichen Art das Gefühl gab, Zuhause zu sein. Grazie mille!!!
My husband and I spent a blissful four weeks at Casa I Pini. The villa has a rustic charm all of its own and we enjoyed getting to know its quirks. Franco was lovely, his lack of English and our lack of Italian did not prevent a daily chat, which we enjoyed very much. The location is perfect just 4km from Cortona, it's peaceful and quiet and we made good use of the pool and field beyond for our dog to have his daily exercise. When our family visited there was plenty of room for all and the Casa came alive, I would recommend it for larger family groups, we managed a pasta making class for eight of us no problem. I would return to the Casa I Pini and the beautiful Tuscan region in a heartbeat.
Wir hatten hier 3 wunderbare, ruhige und erholsame Urlaubswochen. Wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit mag ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Das Haus ist perfekt ausgestattet, es hatte uns an nichts gefehlt.
