Uitstekend 5 /5We were very impressed with Casa Tonio. The house has been refurbished to a high spec and is beautifully laid out and equipped. The large pool, situated in an olive grove really makes the house as so many holiday properties have such small ones. In this one you can swim proper lengths. It is very conveniently located for Lucca and Pisa and you can walk to the local village for a meal in the evening opposite the church.
Two small things that we would have liked included better local restaurant info. The house book lists some out but they could be hit or miss in terms of quality. If there was a guest book where past guests could leave recommendations, I think it would be helpful to future guests. And the second thing was kitchen equipment. We cooked a lot. The house needs smaller pans, better cutlery, particularly sharp knives. But if you don’t cook, this won’t bother you.
