Rustig plekje om heerlijk te ontspannen. Fijn zwembad. In de ochtend eten met zonsopkomst met uitkijk op de bergen, s'avonds bij de bbq. In de keuken waren genoeg borden en dergelijke, behalve wijnglazen(die hebben we zelf 3 gekocht en daar achtergelaten) en een snijplank (maar die hadden we zelf bij). Het bed piept ook bij draaien, maar goed geslapen. De woning blijft lekker koel ook al is het heel warm buiten. Onze hond ging bij warmte lekker binnen afkoelen, kon vrij rondlopen. Leuke bergdorpjes in de buurt, kleine supermarkt vlakbij, grotere in een ander dorp. Elke nacht in september wel burlende herten, soms dichtbij. Wij houden van de natuur dus niet storend voor ons. Wel 2 hertjes in de ochtend gezien. Everzwijnen hebben we niet gezien, maar onze hond ruikte wel iets in het bos en weiland dat ernaast lag. Eigenaar woont ernaast, zijn vriendelijk en helpen direkt als het nodig is, spreken alleen italiaans. [English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] A quiet spot perfect for relaxing. Nice swimming pool. You can enjoy breakfast at sunrise with a view of the mountains, and have a BBQ in the evening. The kitchen was well-stocked with plates and the like, though wine glasses were missing (we bought three ourselves and left them there) and there was no cutting board (though we had brought our own). The bed creaked when turning over, but we slept well. The house stays pleasantly cool even when it is very hot outside. Our dog could roam freely and enjoyed cooling off inside when it was hot. There are charming mountain villages nearby; a small supermarket is close by, with larger ones in another village. Throughout September, you can hear deer rutting every night—sometimes quite close by. We love nature, so this didn't bother us; we even spotted two deer in the morning. We didn't see any wild boars, though our dog did pick up a scent in the woods and the adjacent meadow. The owners live next door; they are friendly and quick to help if needed, though they speak only Italian.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property with our adult children. The house worked very well for us as it is actually two apartments, an upstairs and a downstairs, meaning we all had lots of space and the kids had privacy. It had a great sociable space for dining outside. It has two kitchens both well stocked for our needs. The mosquitoes can be a problem (we visited in September). Take lots of repellant. The house was well stocked with plug in anti mosquito devices in every room but you need to get your own refills, readily available in all the local supermarkets. It was located much nearer to San Gimignano than we had expected, only a 10 - 12 min walk. Uphill on the way there but still not onerous. It meant no worries about parking and we could all enjoy wine with dinner when we were eating out and then have an easy walk back. It is located in a lovely country setting even though it is so close to the town with large grounds and olive groves to wander around, roughly 10 acres. The views over the Tuscan countryside are stunning, particularly from the pool area. The owners Vittorio and Marina are delightful, very eager to ensure we enjoyed our stay. They live in a separate property on site but are very mindful of guests privacy. They offered a number of helpful suggestions regarding things to do and the best places to park in Siena and Florence. We needed to access some medical services when we were there and again they were very helpful, even offering to drive us to the facility. We have been trying to learn Italian and they were also very willing and patient allowing us to practice our Italian on them although they do both speak English. Overall a great place to base yourself if you want to explore Tuscany from one convenient location, delightful and helpful owners included.

The apartment is spacious with a big terrace. The location is also perfect! A short walk to the beach and restaurants.

We used the place in a group of 10 people and had a great time! Quick sum up of the things, that we always want to know, when we book a house like this: The kitchen is big enough and has 2 large fridges, a big stove and an oven. In addition to that a big barbecue and a stone pizza oven. The pool is huge and has a lot of benches. There's a lso a fridge at the pool. The whirlpool is also nice and comfortable for up to 8 people. Make sure to inform the owner/the agency in advance, if you want to use the pool from the first day on! We didn't know that and had to wait a little. Indoors and outdoors there's a large table and space for everyone for a shared meal. Indoors there's also couches to fit the whole group. The rooms are nice, more than enough bathrooms and showers and the whole setting is very comfortable and gives of a nice and homey atmposphere. AND: It's a well-paved road to reach the house, so also reachable with non-offroad cars ;) BUT there's quite an amount of mosquitos, so make sure to bring candles and repellants. All in all: Great stay, lovely owners -> fully recommended.
