We had a wonderful time in Tuscany and our apartment was good. The property is very well maintained with a nice swimming pool and a tennis court. They also have 2 donkey's, very nice animals. Two minor details are that there are a lot of wasps, we think they are also in the roof. And the beds do not sleep very comfortable. Very positive is the fact that the owner and key holder are very nice people and very helpfull. Cortona is a beautifull village in the nearby mountains, just a 10 minute drive away from the apartments, withe a lot of nice and good restaurants. We recommend Snoopy for the best ice cream and Trattoria Toscana for the great food at a very reasonable price.

There were five adults in our party and we had a wonderful time during our stay. Whether it was traveling to the various sites or just lounging around the time spent was very relaxing and to be able to return to a comfortable and quiet place was ideal.

The Villa, it's views and the area were stunning. The villa is up a 2 km untarmaced road so you should be careful if you have a sports car, but there is the advantage of privacy and peaceful surroundings. The hosts could not have done more to make our stay very memorable. We were a family including a 22month old.

Villa Giavannino is located on a mountainside with awesome mountain views in a private setting. Giavannino exceeded our expectations. It was large, clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. All the amenities needed were provided. The grounds and pool were well maintained. Vonny, our host, was great and gave us excellant suggestions for visiting local attractions.

The location was convenient for our day trip destinations of Florence, Lucca, Cinque Terre and the seashore. We took a scenic drive one day to Sienna which took about 2 hours.

The town of Camaiore, with grocery stores, restaurants and shopping is only 3 miles down the mountain. From there major highways are a short drive. There is a small village, Padonna, less than 1 mile from the villa with a restaurent and mini store.

Future renters should be aware however that the mountain road leading up to Givaninno is twisty and narrow and takes about 20 minutes. We found the villa and mountain views well worth the drive.
