(Mike - Marietta, GA) Our "Party of Eight" group (4 couples) stayed in this villa and our experience could not have been better. The villa is beautiful and provided everything we needed for a super vacation. The villa owner, Barbara, was magnificent! Since we drove to the villa from Rome we arrived right at dinner time (7:30 pm) and (by request) Barbara had prepared a wonderful home-cooked Italian meal with all of the trimmings, including the family red, white and dessert wines, and their very own EVOO. It was so good that we purchased several bottles of the dessert and EVOO to bring home. Later in the week we were ready for a night at home, so Barbara cooked for us again, where she brought us a large bowl of fresh cherries right from the tree in the garden. The view from the villa is even better than the website photos, if that is possible. The location of the villa gave us easy access to San Gimignano, Siena, Castilina, Pisa, Lucca and of course, Florence. Although I drove a Fiat Ducato 9-pax 1200 kilometers all over Tuscany, I will have to say that our two most favorite experiences were dinner at Antico Desco and a wine tasting at Tenuta Torciano winery that you will talk about for months to come; both of which are only 3 kilometers from the villa. Unfortunately, the weather was still a little too cool to take advantage of the pool. So for those visiting in June, July and August, you will have the bonus of experiencing the pool as well. We have rented homes in Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Maine and now Italy. This villa rental experience, including the service provided by the kind folks at Easy Reserve, was second to none! If we ever get the chance, we would definitely stay at Podere Lo Spadino again.

Perfectly positioned for San Gimignano and with wonderful views of the surronding countryside, Borgo Tollena is also an ideal get away from it all holiday. Barbara is extremeley helpful and the apartment was ideal for us.

De woning voldoet aan de behoeften, de problemen die optreden worden op een efficiënte en vriendelijke manier opgelost. Qua streek een heel goede uitvalsbasis om Toscane te verkennen.Het ontvangst en contact met de eigenaren is heel warm en to the point . We hebben een heel goede vakantie gehad.

Just as described on website and seen in pictures. Very centrally located (was able to walk/bike everywhere). Just a 12 minute walk from train station - never took a taxi. Journal kept on property by visitors indicated the apt gets too hot in the summer, but it was just right for us - late May (recommend owner provides fans). Only downside able to tolerate for a few days is the bathroom lack privacy (translucent door) and is next to kitchen. Bathroom also super small and drain needs to be cleared - floods quickly. Would still recommend place for location and price.
