Our stay at Villa Carolina was very memorable. The agency Easy Reserve was so efficient and very responsive to emails and any questions we had. Lucia and Gabriele are wonderful people along with their beautiful daughter Carolina. Their hospitality was very much appreciated.

When we first arrived, they made us feel right at home with a welcome coffee along with wines from the region for dinner that night. Gabriele was quite helpful with orienting us and suggesting itineraries for us. One morning, he drove us to the starting point of our Chianti tour which was great. Another time, they suggested we visit Monteriggioni, Colle Val d'Elsa and Volterra - which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! The location of the villa is ideal for taking day trips - we also visited Siena, Florence, Chianti, San Gimignano, Montalcino, etc. with our car rental which is an obvious "must" in this area.

The villa itself was very beautiful and clean, and had all the necessities required. We ate like royalty one night when Lucia made dinner - salumi platters and bruschettas with tomatoes from the villa garden, pastas, bistecca fiorentina, sausages and salads, and biscotti with Vin Santo from the region to top all that off - sublime!

There is just one complaint - that seven days went by as fast as they did! We would recommend Lucia and Gabriele's Villa Carolina to anyone thinking of renting a villa in the Tuscany area.

We stayed at Villa Lavacchio in 2010 and returned this year for 2 weeks. It is a beautiful property and the location near Montalcino is spectacular. Very private with wonderful views of nearby Camigliano and Banfi Castle. It is a very comfortable villa with lots of space for a group to spread out. The pool is located on a hill overlooking the villa and the nearby valleys, and is a great vantage point for spectacular sunsets. The caretaker of the property, Tiziana, is wonderful and also a great cook. I highly recommend this property and will continue to return for my holidays in Tuscany.

Die Gegend rund um den Mt. Amiata ist von dunkelgrauem Stein geprägt. Häuser und Gassen der Ortschaften sind damit gebaut. Sehr interessant und eigen. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, allerdings mit z.T. langen Anfahrten über extrem kurvige Strassen und Strässlein.
Der Bauer hält Ziegen, Schafe, Geflügel und ein Rudel Hunde.
Bei Übernahme empfiehlt es sich, sich die Zeit zu nehmen und zu prüfen, ob alles vorhanden ist, was man in einer FW braucht.

[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The area around Mount Amiata is characterized by dark gray stone. Houses and streets of the little towns and hamlets are built with it. Very interesting and peculiar. Many excursions, although with sometimes extremely long trips on curvy roads and small streets. The farmer keeps goats, sheep, poultry, and a pack of dogs. After the check-in it is advisable to take the time to control that everything you may need is in the apartment.

This property was nice and big, and suited our needs as it was near Villa Pitiana where we were attending an event. Our children loved exploring the garden and playing in the pool (note: not well fenced). There were many lovely areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings. This house is quite isolated (car essential), but the owners were very helpful in providing information about nearby shops and transport. The house had everything we needed. We would recommend it to other families, in particular.
