This apartment is lovely and set in a brilliant complex. The website does not do this place justice, the facilities for family are brilliant. We had a choice of 3 bbqs which we used everynight, swimming pool, kids play ground, bikes for the whole family, tennis courts, volley ball court which my children used as a sandpit, table tennis, table football, there are lots of beach toys,balls etc for the kids, and they have 2 donkeys which my daughters loved to visit and feed everyday. Emanuela the manager was more than helpful catered to our every need and more. Was an amazing holiday and would highly recommend.

I recommend Gualdo del re warmly for anybody who is looking for a calm, relaxed vacation. The area was full of nice villages and wineries. The apartment was extremely well cleaned, spacious and nicely decorated.

This property could not have been any better. The villa, the amenities and the property owner were all wonderful. We had 4 families staying at this property. Eight children total and with all the outdoor amenities we were never indoors. With the tables on the covered patio and outside, we only slept in the villa. And the sleeping arrangements were very accomodating. We were greeted with food and a thorough walk through of the property. Every detail was handled professionally. Only areas to think about are, 1. The upstairs bedrooms in the middle of the summer are warm. Sleeping with windows open is good, but bugs find their way in. 2. If you plan to do many side trips to the larger Tuscan towns, be prepared to drive. If you like the quiet, the town of Civitella is magnificent. And they have the best gelato we found anywhere. Farmleben pur! Wir haben eine tolle Zeit inmitten all der Tiere, der wundervollen Landschaft, der reifen Feigen, Brombeeren, etc, nicht zu vergessen dem super Gemüsegarten von Sandro - unserem tollen und sehr hilfsbereiten Gastgeber- verbracht. Der Pool, der Tischkicker, das Trampolin und die Tischtennisplatte haben uns und unseren glücklichen Bauernhofkindern ( 2 familien mit 4 kindern 6+8 Jahre) die restliche Zeit so vertrieben, dass sie wie im Flug ( trotz zeitweise schlechten Wetter) verging. Danke an Sandro, Corinna und Niccolò fürs Ziegenmelken, Hühnerfüttern, die tollen Tipps, die geschenkten Marmeladengläser ( zum Einkochen der vielen Feigen, Pflaumen und Brombeeren).

Die morgendlichen 20 minütigen Spaziergänge hoch ins Dorf zum Bäcker haben schöne Blicke eingebracht. Die erste Anfahrt war etwas schwer zu finden und unser Auto hätte nicht viel breiter sein dürfen, bei späteren Ausflugsfahrten waren wir jedoch gut eingespielt. Auch mit Fahrradträger ist es gerade noch möglich ( radeln aber noch für Bergfahrer möglich)

We had a great time amidst all the animals, the beautiful landscape, the ripe figs, blackberries, etc, not to mention the super vegetable garden by Sandro - our wonderful and very helpful host. The pool, table football, trampoline and table tennis have kept us and our happy farm children (2 families with 4 children 6+8 years) occupied for the remaining time so the time (despite sometimes poor weather) flew away. Thanks to Sandro, Corinna and Niccolò for milking goats, feeding chickens, the great tips, the glass jars (for preserving the many figs, plums and blackberries).

The 20 minute walk up to the village to the bakery in the morning gave us beautiful views. The first directions were somewhat hard to find and our car should not have been much broader but during our later excursions all worked out well. Even with a bike rack, it is just possible (to bike up only for cyclist with experience in the hills).
