Villa Bertagni is one of the bests! I would do it again! Deiter made everything great, including the option of a great chef.
It is a short trip to other cities and a couple of hours from Florence (take the train), Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, and Cinque Terre; all are experiences to remember. Be sure not to miss the nearby medieval town of Castiglione di Garfagnana.
The gods were very kind to us with great weather – thank you Deiter.
Only negative were the directions – they really should be updated with the correct path and not the “back door” approach.
