B&G Grant, Virginia, USA, May 2010 visit - We had an idyllic stay - just how we pictured a Tuscan Villa getaway. Highlights you should know: 1) this place is tucked away up on a hillside where you are among the vineyards - views are lovely. 2) the staff makes the place - hard to imagine there could be something more delightful than the views, but they were helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They switch from desk staff to chef to wine server all with grace. 3) We loved that we could stay, eat, do wine tasting and a cooking lesson all in one place. 4) Our suite was large and quirky as it was a converted out building. The great room was fabulous - huge windows on 3 sides looking out over courtyard, fireplace and efficiency cooking area. Bed was comfortable; bedroom and bath a little small. 5) Breakfast and dinner was delicious and generous. 6) Great little restaurant down the road - fabulous find. 7) Great central location to tour wineries, castles and towns in Chianti region.
