Our party of 8 stayed at Tenuta Villa La Chiusa in the Castore & Polluce unit from 4/19/08 to 5/3/08. It consists of 4 separate and private bedrooms, each of which has its own bath with shower. It should be known that the bathrooms are all down 4-8 stairs from the bedrooms so be aware of that fact if that is an issue for you. The owners, Pino and Orsola Faver, could not have been more helpful. They assisted us in tracing ancestry of one of our party whose relatives trace back to Lucca. They recommended Volterre which turned out to be a highlight of our trip. They recommended local restaurants which were great to dine at. Orsola even cooked her specialty tortelli for us one night. The villa is about a 15 minute drive from the walls of Lucca. It is set in the hills over the town in a spectacular and very well cared for location. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We look forward to returning. We are even trying to talk the Faver family to visit us in California. Maybe some day....
