Eind sept. begin okt. 2011 huurden we een appartement in Toscane. We hadden een prachtig uitzicht over de geel-rood gekleurde wijngaarden en de Toscaanse heuvels. Overal heerste een serene rust, de zon scheen en het was 23 gr. Een heerlijk kadootje in het najaar...
Cyprus Tombs of the Kings Aug. 2010

In aug. 2010 waren we op Cyprus. We bezochten in Paphos de opgravingen van de Tombs of the Kings. We maakten diverse foto's, waaronder deze van een mozaieken vloer. Pas toen deze foto in het digitale fotoboek zat, viel ons het mooie 3D effect op. Dit effect wisten ze 1200 voor Christus al te maken.

After driving and viewing the white marble quarries of Carrara we went into the city center. Tuscan Piazza. Typical architecture and style of the square. Completely empty of life - a sleeping piazza - as it was just before opening time after the lunch period. Wonderful.

While driving up the mountainous narrow winding road on the way to Grotto del Vento, my husband and I came across this stunning spot where we stopped and had a Martini Bianco on ice and a beer. This area is just filled with beautiful scenic views.
